What We Offer

The course content will be discussed in advance with the student in order to ensure that it meets the specific needs of the individual. He or she will be asked to identify the particular language requirements and also the purpose of the visit. (eg: to prepare for work in management, medicine, business, accounting, administration, industry, catering, media or journalism, etc. or for pleasure and social reasons)

The course duration is one week. Full details will be posted to the student with the initial "welcome pack".

At the beginning of the course, the student will be asked to complete an initial assessment in order to determine his or her present level of English.

During the first few hours of teaching, a full assessment of the 4 basic skills and sub-skill levels will be undertaken, together with a phonemic analysis. Courses are designed to meet your personal objectives and interests. The course will also include the following topics: English family life, history, culture and traditions.

There will be particular emphasis on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and syntax during the course as all these are the building blocks of a language. All the required materials will be supplied.

Many activities, including sightseeing, will be arranged by your tutor. Time will also be made available for the student's individual choices. The course will be tailored to your individual needs and this is the main reason why many students choose to follow a home stay course at The London Language Learning Centre.

A certificate will be issued at the end of the course and you will be given a report that will show the progress made during the week's lessons. A final assessment will be conducted at the end of the week and a progression analysis will be undertaken.
